This land of Handvada of Abuzamad which came under Dantewada district, is now part of Orchha block. It is a natural waterfall which falls below the height of more than 150 feet and later it flows through the stones and creates a natural spring. The scenic view of this attracts the mind.
It is the highest waterfall in the Bastar region. The Goyedhar tunnel emerging through the hills makes this wonderful waterfall. Locals refer to it as “Godher Ghumar” or “Goyedhar Ghumar”.
This kind of waterfall is also located in Rawchal. This natural waterfall is similar to that of Tirathgarh, but the greenery of it becomes a separate shade. There is also a different joy of seeing the forest animals at these two places.
At a separation of 4 km from Basavakalyan and 77 km from Bidar, Lord Shiva Temple is situated in Narayanpur. The Narayanpur Shiva sanctuary was built in the twelfth century by Chalukyan rulers. The sanctuary is arranged inside the town in the midst of abodes. At the passage different models including a saint stone and a piece with Kannada engravings are there. There are stays of various apsaras encompassing the primary vimana of the sanctuary.
Narayanpur Mata Mavli Mela is a famous event in the region. The tribal groups of Chhattisgarh commend this celebration. The seven day mela is an event for the tribals of the area.
