National Entrance Screening Test (NEST)

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. Their mandate is to train scientific manpower for carrying out cutting edge scientific research and for providing input to scientific programmes of Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country.

IISER Aptitude Test

The Government of India has established IISERs at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research.

Admission to undergraduate programmes of IISER is through the IISER Aptitude Test.

Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET)

Ministry of Human Resource Development has established Central Universities across the country. Central Universities offer several UG programmes.

CUCET is the common entrance examination to seek admissions in Central Universities and other select universities.

Common Entrance Test of Indian Maritime University

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) was established as a teaching-cum-affiliating university under the aegis of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. It was set up to promote maritime studies, training, research and extension with focus on emerging areas like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies and other related fields, and to achieve excellence in these areas.

The University offers several UG programmes. Admissions to the UG course is through a Common Entrance Test conducted by the University.

ICAR AIEE

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country under the aegis of DARE, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

The ICAR-AU system of India has 75 Agricultural Universites comprising 64 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural and Fisheries Universities (SAUs), 4 ICAR-DUs, viz. IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE, 3 Central Agricultural Universities (CAU, Imphal, Dr. RPCAU, Pusa and RLB CAU, Jhansi), 4 Central Universities (CUs) having Faculty of Agriculture (BHU, AMU, Viswa Bharati and Nagaland University)..

All India Entrance Examination for Admission, AIEEA (UG) is being conducted for admission to Bachelor Degree programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (other than Veterinary Sciences), at Agricultural Universities on 15% of the University seats (100% seats in RLB CAU Jhansi, NDRI Karnal and Dr. RP CAU Pusa, Bihar).

Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination

Jawaharlal Nehru University is the foremost university in India, and a world-renowned centre for teaching and research.
