Chennai Science Festival

Science City, Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu has been conducting several science based programs to create scientific awareness, propagate scientific ideas and improve scientific knowledge. One such event is the Chennai Science Festival which is being is being organized since 2008 with the support of Government of Tamil Nadu.

The Chennai Science Festival features a science exhibition with exhibits being showcased by premier institutes involved in imparting higher education and research like Indira Gandhi Atomic Energy Research Centre, Anna University, Chennai University, Tamil Nadu Center for Science and Technology Centre, Indian Institute of Technology (IT Madras), Tamil Nadu University of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Science, Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, Central Leather Research Institute Directorate of Medicine, Cancer Institute etc. Apart from the Science Exhibitions and science demonstrations, as well as laser light and sound shows will also be organized for the benefit of the visitors.

Honourable Minister for Higher Education has consented to inaugurate the Chennai Science Festival at 1:30 p.m. on 24.09.2024.

The Chennai Science Festival will be open to visitors from 24^th to 26^th September 2024 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all days.
