Kasturba Poshan Sahay Yojana (KPSY)

Brief Objective

The objective of this study was to assess the Kasturba Poshan Sahay Yojana. The specific objectives were (i) To assess the health services provided to the beneficiary of Kasturba Poshan Sahay Yojana. (ii) To assess the expenditure/utilization of money provided to KPSY beneficiaries. (iii) To assess the awareness and knowledge of beneficiaries about Kasturba Poshan Sahay Yojana.

Benefits

To facilitate adequate nutrition during pregnancy, cash support of Rs. 6000/- is given to all the BPL mothers.

Eligibility

Based on the success of the 'MA Yojana (for BPL families), the scheme has been extended to “all the females and their children (below the age of 21 years) belonging to the families having an annual income below Rs. 1.20 Lakh per annum.
