The scheme aims to promote education among the deprived section of students.

Benefits to the citizens

This scholarship scheme for minority community girls is a major step towards providing basic education. Minority Girls Scholarship Scheme is an educational security scheme and will offer an equal opportunities to those girls who belongs to deprived sections of society.

Eligibility

• Girls who finished their education level from Assam
• Resident of Assam
• From the Minority Community
• Scholarship will not be awarded to the students who have secured less than 50% Marks in the Previous Final Examination
• Annual Income of their parents/ Guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs. 1.00 Lakh per annum.
• The students who have belonging to the notified Minority Communities (i.e. Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsis)
• he scholarship will be awarded to the students studying in India from class- I to X, under various Govt. Institutes and eligible Private institute.

Pre Matric Scholarship is implemented by the Assam Minorities Development Board. Students from Class-I to Class-X can apply for Pre Matric Scholarship online.
