Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal

Brief Objective 

To provide running tap water for every household.

Benefits to the citizens

This resolution is an unflinching endeavor to provide clean drinking water in the homes of approximately 2 crore households in the state through concerted co-operation of the people of every village and locality in Bihar.

Eligibility

All households at risk due to harmful minerals in the water consumption such as iron, arsenic and fluoride

All households that are not at risk to be given piped water access

This is a state led scheme

Urban local bodies/ panchayat bodies, Government of Bihar

Four schemes launched by the State Government for achieving this resolution :

  • Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana.
  • Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay Yojana (Gunvatta Prabhavit Kshetr).
  • Mukhyamantri Gramin Peyjal Nishchay yojana (Gair Gunvatta Prabhavit Kshetr).
  • Mukhyamantri Shahri Peyjal Nishchay Yojana.
