Aakanksha programme

School Education and Literacy Department, Govt. of Jharkhand initiated this ambitious programme for children studying in Govt. Schools of Jharkhand.

Benefits

Under the scheme, the selected children of Govt. schools are provided with facility of free Medical and Engineering coaching for selection test of these exams. This programme was initiated in the year 2016-17 to provide free coaching, study material and a child friendly learning atmosphere to prepare them for the prestigious admission test, which they were not able to do due to financial constraint and unavailability of appropriate learning material needed for the exam preparation. The Government provided best teachers and most appropriate learning material to the children so that they could compete with the children coming from affluent families.

Eligibility

At State level, a selection test is organized by the department for the government children studying in class XI of the schools of all the district. Based on the selection test, 40 students based on the merit are selected for both Engineering and Medical streams. The selected students are provided facility of schooling for class XI and XII along with the free residential coaching for preparation of Engineering and Medical selection test by taking services of best of the teaching faculty available in capital city of Jharkhand.
