Apply for Income Certificate

Income certificate is an important document issued to Indian citizens that state their annual income. Income certificate is used to make the citizens of a state eligible for various schemes offered by the Central or State Government. To obtain an income certificate, one has to approach the Tahasildar office in the area. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant should be a citizen of India.
• Any resident of Mizoram who is employed and is required to produce an income certificate for any purpose is eligible. 

How to apply

Income Certificate Forms can be collected from Mamit DC Office, Facilitation Centre. Carefully read the Forms and fill up the necessary data in readable. Along with the Forms, below mentioned documents have to be attached.

Documents required

• Original Voter ID (for verification purpose), a Xerox copy, self-attested is required. Or a Xerox copy of the voter ID attested by a gazetted officer
• For Government Employees, last pay certificate countersigned by DDO/Head Of Department.
• For unemployed, a consent letter from the Local Council/Village Council.
• For unemployed but whose income is more than 10,00,000(ten lakhs), an affidavit must be attached.
