esamridhi portal of the Ministry of Cooperation aims to help Tur producing farmers of India for registration, purchase and payment for the procurement of Tur dal by National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) .
Government of India desires to enhance its domestic production of Tur / Arhar and Masur and reduce its import dependency to zero level. Therefore, it is desirous of pre-registering the Indian farmers willing to produce these two Pulses and offer them at Minimum Support Price or the rate as pre-decided for National Buffer of Pulses. This is aimed to encourage Indian farmers to grow more of these two Pulses to meet the domestic demand and gradually reduce import dependency for the nation.
Since 2017, e-Samridhi has been the cornerstone in NAFED’s pursuit of India’s self-sufficiency in oilseeds and pulses through a nationwide MSP procurement program; symbolizes progress and efficiency. This Aadhaar-based verification platform ensures seamless operations, from registration to direct payments, promoting transparency and traceability for the farmers. This success story is based on real-time tracking, accurate reporting and overcoming the challenges of traditional manual systems.
This farmer-centric initiative aims to empower tur dal producers with better prices through procurement, streamlined processes and direct bank transfers by NAFED and NCCF. Under this, the buffer stock of pulses will be purchased from the farmers registered on the portals of NAFED and NCCF as per the guidelines of the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India and MSP or market price, whichever is higher, will be paid to the farmers.
The process of registration, purchase and payment on the portal will be available on a single medium. Portal registration of farmers can be done directly or through PACS and FPO. The payment to the farmers will be made by NAFED directly into their mapped bank account and no agency will be involved in between. The entire process is farmer centric in which farmers themselves can track the activities from registration to payment.
The portal will streamline the entire process for tur dal growers in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka and Jharkhand, simplifying the registration, procurement and payment processes.
