Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthaan Yojana (MKUY)

Brief Objective

This scheme aims to inspire girls towards education and will provide them financial help right from their birth till they get graduated through which the girls may get a better life. On birth of a girl child - Rs. 2,000 ; on 1st Vaccination: Rs. 1,000 ; on 1st Vaccination: Rs. 1,000 ; on Passing Intermediate or +2 Exam: Rs. 10,000; on Completing Graduation Degree: Rs. 25,000. Hence a total of 40,000 will be given to families who have a girl child

Benefits to the Citizens

Under this scheme, the Government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 25000 for each girl who has completed graduation level in the year 2018 and beyond.

Eligibility

The below following applicants are eligible to apply for the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthaan Yojana (MKUY).

• The girl must be a resident of Bihar state.
• Any girl of the state can take advantage of the scheme without caste/religion discrimination.
• A girl must belong to the EWS (Economically Weaker Section).
• Only Two girls from a family are eligible to apply for the scheme.
• Girl’s parents should not be working as a Government Employee.

How to Apply

Online

1. The applicants can apply for the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthaan Yojana through the official website of Bihar. 
2. Then the applicant has to click on the MKUY application form and have to fill out the application form with all requested details in a prescribed format. 
3. After completing, attach the specified records along with the application form. 
4. The concerned official will process the request further.

The applicants must furnish the following documents along with the Application Form to apply for the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthaan Yojana.

• Identity Proof: PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, etc.
• Address Proof: Aadhar Card, Valid Passport, Utility bill, Property tax bill, etc.

• Certificate of class 10th and 12th
