She Team

The program of She teams was launched on 24th October, 2014 with the aim of curbing eveteasing in all aspects, in all forms, at all places, providing safety andsecurity to women in the society, facilitating healthy environment for womens mobility thereby building up confidence in women.

Women across the State can now report their security-related grievances on a WhatsApp helpline number (9441669988) launched by the SHE Team of Telangana police.Issues ranging from domestic violence, sexual harassment to stalking, among others, can be reported on the 24x7 non-emergency helpline number. 

HawkEye

 Telangana Police app helps in ensuring woman's safety while on travel. Whenever a woman board any type of conveyance. HawkEye also has an offline SOS button. If this is pressed in case of an emergency, it will still connect offline to our call center for immediate response. They can alternatively dial 100 to immediately connect to our Police Response Team.

SOS button

This feature of the app is useful to seek the help of police in emergencies. When in a state of distress, emergency and exigency, one press of this button sends a pre-recorded message to pre-determined friends and relatives — any five of them — and simultaneously to the Inspector of police station, ACP, DCP, patrol mobiles and main control room, based on the location of the person. The message will include the name, phone no and address of the person and also the longitude and latitude of the person’s location. This would help in quick response of police to rescue the person in distress.

Bharosa Center

Bharosa is an integrated multi-pronged one-stop Support Center to provide a slew of police, medical, counselling, legal and prosecution services for women and children who are victims of violence and sexual abuse. Either they or their family can get immediate assistance from multiple specialised services under a single roof for their relief, rehabilitation and protection as per the requirements.

Bharosa was implemented in 2016 after a lot of research. The Supreme Court has acknowledged that good practices are being followed. They have identified Bharosa, as the best model in the country.
